When you are required to bury a Comcast cable line, then there are some measures which you must keep in mind in order to make sure that the line is securely and safely buried, and stays protected from any future damage.
You may dig a confined or narrow trench using some hand tools, depending on the length of your cable, you can also use powerful pieces of equipment for bigger jobs. In both the ways, the basic steps are just the same. In case of any issues, contact the Comcast customer support.
Steps 1.
Call the power corporation and ask for a technical expert to mark the location of any underground electrical wire before you start this project.
Step 2.
Determine the length of the cable line which is to be buried.
Step 3.
You need to purchase a PVC pipe of diameter measuring 1 inch in order to increase the length of the cable wire that is to be buried. You can also buy the pipe in sections and later join it together with the help of connectors. You may get connectors and piping at big hardware stores.

Step 4.
The narrow trench must be dug in a straight line. You can take the help of a hand shovel for short distances and powerful trench diggers for bigger ones. You may get trench diggers on rent for a day or few hours from rental centers for power equipment. A garden tiller having two outer tines removed may also work in case the trench depth is not an issue.
Step 5.
Dig a trench of at least 8 to 12 inches deep and 4 inches wide for the whole length of the wire to be buried.
Step 6.
Put in the cable through the PVC pipe and then put this pipe in the trench by adding different sections of the pipe as required using snap-on PVC connectors. This PVC pipe will protect the cable wire, preventing any moisture, rot and any accidental damage that might be caused to gardening tools.
Step 7.
Cover up the trench with sand and mud. Then, just stamp it down and you may spread some grass seed if you want.
